Intro

Sacred Heart is a private K-12 preparatory school in San Francisco focused on developing resilient and resourceful global citizens.

Looking to amplify their growing arts and music programming, Sacred Heart leadership wanted to engage stakeholders to discuss the school’s strategic vision and the future renovation of the little theater; a 4,000 square foot multi-purpose space used for physical education classes, performances, and after school activities.

Ideation

As faculty shared their aspirations for future Sacred Heart students, several themes emerged that helped define a mission for the new and improved Little Theater. Building upon these themes, we created 4 different concepts of potential use cases, layout options, and recommended programming for the space.

We presented each of the 4 concepts to faculty. We then worked together in teams to build consensus and evaluate each scenario using a balanced scorecard method, which provided a unique point of view on programs, use cases, and strategic objectives.
